We were sad to learn that Prof.Demir DİVANLIOĞLU retired from Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture passed away. The funeral rites of our teacher will be held in Moda Mosque on 6 January 2019, Sunday. Then, it will be buried in the family cemetery at Karacaahmet Cemetery. We offer condolence over the death to his relatives.

PROF. DEMİR DİVANLIOĞLU
Prof. Demir Divanlıoğlu born in Kadıköy in 1938 and graduated from Saint Joseph High School, after graduating from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture in 1965, worked as an architect in Turkey and in the Netherlands. In 1970, he started to work as assistant in the İDMMA Faculty of Architecture. He received his professorship in 1989 and retired from Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Building Science in 2004. Throughout his academic career, he worked at various managerial positions and conducted numerous researches and dissertations. He is also the author of Perspective, Elements and Principles of Basic Design, Learning to See Architecture (Translated by Saper vedere l tezarchitettura, Bruno Zevi).
