Yıldız Technical University Professional Practice and Research Program: Summer 2025 Activities
Within the framework of the professional competencies of our faculty’s Departments of Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, and Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, the program will conduct research activities aimed at establishing and expanding interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration (with universities, faculties, research centers, public institutions, NGOs, and industry organizations), as well as to provide undergraduate students with opportunities for research internships.
- Undergraduate and graduate students from all universities under the Higher Education Council (YÖK) are eligible to apply.

YTU SUMMER TERM RESEARCH PROJECTS APPLICATION FORM
- Students wishing to participate in research internships as part of the YTU Summer Research Program must have the “employer signature” section of their internship forms signed by their employer for final registration; for groups in July, no later than June 23, 2025; and for groups in September, no later than August 11, 2025, and submit them in person to the Dean’s Office Secretariat of the Faculty of Architecture. YTU Faculty of Architecture students must submit their documents bearing the employer’s signature to the Faculty of Architecture Dean’s Office. (Unlike other internships, you do not need to email the Internship Committee.)
- Group lists will be announced after the quota and official internship details have been finalized.
- The work of participating undergraduate students will be evaluated as 3 ECTS credits under the Bologna system, and a certificate of participation will be issued.
- The Summer Semester Projects of the Professional Practice and Research Program at Yıldız Technical University’s Faculty of Architecture will be concluded with book and exhibition presentations.
- Upon request, students from outside Istanbul who wish to participate in the program (only those undertaking official internships) will be provided with a document they can use when applying for housing at KYK student dormitories.
